Me vs. Kernel.

well welcome to the last day of the rest of my life.... ever wrote a shell script that was perfectly harmless... and it all goes awry?

Yeah that happened to me today... when your shellscript eff's up on you and suddenly ends up in your / filesystem and deletes a file... to most people that wouldn't be the biggest thing in the world. To a freebsd user the first question is: "It wasn't the kernel was it?"
The first words out of my mouth were....well explitives...but after that were....well... more explitives...and then was....inaudible....well i'm not sure I really said anything... worth repeating.
In case you haven't figured it out by now I had a shellscript delete my kernel..
i hate my life.
